OUR BRAND STORY

FROM “I DO” TO THE ATELIER

HANNAH — THE FOUNDER

“It all started with my own wedding.
As a designer, I couldn’t wait to create the stationery. I knew exactly how I wanted it to feel — editorial, expressive and thoughtfully colourful!
It was the ultimate creative brief, and our guests’ first glimpse of the celebration to come.”

MY design ETHOS

Modern Love, Brought to life in Colour

I’ve always loved colour.
I believe it's where every great design story begins.

After 15 years working as a Fashion Designer for some of the biggest clothing brands, one thing has always been clear to me:
Colour has the power to transform how you feel.
Not just in what you wear, but in the spaces you create and the moments you remember.

Bold or tonal, maximalist or understated, monochrome or technicolour — a successful colour palette shouldn't be one-dimensional. So why shouldn’t this timeless design concept apply to your wedding too? Nuances bring depth and excitement, drama and intrigue. Your love story is full of layers, so surely your colour palette should be too. Layered well, colour creates atmosphere, builds identity and brings every element of a celebration together.

That philosophy shaped our own wedding — and ultimately became the foundation of The Colour Atelier ethos.

because we've been where you are

How It Started

I said yes. We chose Greece. Then came the really exciting part — telling all our friends and family!

I knew I wanted our stationery to do more than simply share the details. I wanted it to tell our story, set the tone and make our guests feel excited about what was to come. It needed to feel personal, visually impactful and unmistakably us.

I’d spent years saving incredible stationery to Pinterest — but when I started looking, everything felt either too generic, too restrictive, fully bespoke and out of budget, or simply impossible to source. One thing I knew: I definitely didn’t want the biggest announcement of our lives to feel like everyone else’s. So I created what I felt was missing.

Stationery with personality. Beautifully considered colour. Flexible enough to make your own, without starting from scratch. Our guests loved it. So now, I'm here to help you do the same.

HANNAH — THE FOUNDER

" Every love story deserves to make a lasting impression.
As one of the few pieces every guest personally receives, stationery sets the tone for your big day and can transform into a cherished keepsake long after the celebration concludes.
It deserves to be Iconic. "

OUR WEDDING

The Personal Details

We made it personal — and so should you.

We found a venue that filled our hearts with joy: a little boutique hotel on the Greek island of Tinos. We invited only our closest friends and family and rented out the hotel, once the owners’ very own Greek family home. Think Mamma Mia vibes. It felt personal, intimate and wonderfully us.

Every guest received a personalised room key on arrival. Instead of traditional invitations, I used our three-card suite to create a welcome pack waiting in their rooms — the first little glimpse of the days ahead and a warm welcome from the Bride and Groom. For our favours, we sourced wine from a local vineyard and I designed our very own personalised bottle labels.

Every idea led to another, but I couldn’t find anyone offering most of the pieces I wanted, let alone all in one place. So I made them myself — and our guests LOVED them.

THE DINNER

Designed to be discovered

For dinner, I wanted the stationery to feel interactive — not just decorative. Something that encouraged instant conversation and intrigue.

I designed a luxury two-piece menu that slid open to reveal the bar’s signature drinks beneath the main menu. It became one of the details guests most loved to explore. The tasselled menus added another layer of texture to the table, while the handmade oyster shell table numbers brought in something tactile and unexpected from home.

And because I didn’t want to miss the little moments happening around us, each table had a stack of Share the Love cards linking guests straight to our online wedding album. They’re wallet-sized too, so once the dancing began, they were easy for guests to hold onto for later.

Every piece had a purpose. Every detail added to the experience. That’s exactly how I believe wedding stationery should feel.

YOUR STORY

Brought to life in Colour

I am so happy I followed my instincts and made something we will love forever, because great design always tells a story.

So, be brave. Choose the colour that makes your heart race. Or two. Or four. And let our studio create stationery your guests comment on, photograph, keep and remember. Your stationery should feel like an extension of the celebration itself — considered, expressive and unmistakably yours.

Pieces that feel considered from every angle, from the first Save the Date to the final Thank You card, with colour, detail and personality running through every piece. Because the best weddings don’t follow a formula.

They feel like you.
